Leonard Tan is our resident father figure at APEX Swimming. He helmed the National Youth Sports Institute as the Head Coach for Swimming and was also the assistant coach at Singapore Swimming Association’s National Training Centre together with Marcus.

With over 15 years of experience under his belt, Leonard’s key swimmers are Olympian Quah Ting Wen and Singapore’s fastest 50m Freestylist Jonathan Tan. He owes his success to the close relationships he built with his swimmers and also a strong sense of empathy for his athletes.

Unfazed by challenges, he successfully built a gold medal swimming club, The Aquatech Barracudas, in the midst of COVID and won the best performing team at 2022’s edition of the Singapore National Swim Championships.
