Terms and Conditions

1.1 Registration 

  • Duly completed registration forms must be submitted together with all fees payable to Apex Consortium Swimming Pte. Ltd. [hereinafter referred to as “Apex”] before commencement of the 1st lesson. 

  • Registration form MUST be completed by parents for swimmers under the age of 21 years old. 

  • Registration fee of S$80 is payable for all new swimmers to Apex (Non-refundable or transferable)

  • Apex reserves the right to reject any application at its sole discretion. 

    1.2 Payment & Payment Options 

  • All fees are payable to “Apex Consortium Swimming Pte. Ltd.”. Classes will only be confirmed after full payment is received. 

  • All fees must be paid before the commencement of the 1st lesson, or prior to the commencement of the new term:

    • One time Registration Fee: $80

    • Course Fee: Depending on the programme that the swimmer is signing up for

      • Levels 1 and 2: S$54 per lesson, S$540 per term

      • Levels 3 to 6: S$39 per lesson, S$390 per term

      • Levels 7 to 9: S$35 per lesson, S$350 per term 

    • Course Fee for students joining after the term starts will be prorated based on the number of lessons remaining within the current term. . 

    • Students who sign up during the last 5 weeks of the current term (weeks 8 to 12) will be required to pay the next term’s fees together with the current term’s fees.

  • Mode of payment:

  • Please state the swimmer's name under the description / remarks segment where possible.

  • Fess made are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • We reserved the rights to remove any swimmer from existing slots in the event of late payment (defined as more than 2 weeks after the commencement of the term). 

    1.3 Late Payment 

  • A late payment fee, at S$10 per week, will be levied on all payments received from week 3 of each term (e.g., more than 2 weeks after commencement of the current term).

    1.4 Trial Lessons 

  • All trial lessons are chargeable at the rate of $40 per session. 

  • During the trial lesson, the Apex team will conduct an assessment to assess the swimmer’s current proficiency in swimming, so as to facilitate the placement of the swimmer into the appropriate class / level.  

    1.5 Make-up Lessons / Missed Class Policy

  • In the event that your child has to miss a regular class, you may do a make-up class based on the make up lesson with us based on either of the following:

    • “Within-the-week” make-up class; or

    • “Within-the-term” make-up class. 

  • Within-the-week make-up class

    • If a swimmer is unable to attend any class for the week, the swimmer may choose to attend another class (time-slot) within the same week, at the same pool.  

    • At least two days’ notice is required to be provided to Apex. 

  • Within-the-term make up class

    • In general, the last two (2) lessons within each term are designated as the ‘make-up’ lessons for the term. 

    • Only a maximum of two (2) make up sessions are allowed per term 

    • At least two days’ notice prior to the commencement of the “within-the-term” make up class is required to be provided to Apex.

  • Allocation of make-up lessons are subject to availability. 

  • Apex reserves the right to assign a suitable class and teacher for your child.

  • Make-up classes will be made known to all parents prior to the start of the new term.     

  • No refunds will be entertained should you miss more than two (2) regular classes, or if you are unable to attend any of the make-up class(es) scheduled. 

    1.6 Wet Weather / Haze Policy

  • In the event of inclement weather, such as heavy rain (whereby the blue line within the competitive pool is not visible), Category 1 lightning alert or unhealthy level of haze, we will inform all swimmers no less than 30 mins before the start of the class, and all swimmers affected shall be entitled to a  make-up class.

  • If we are not able to inform the parent / swimmer in time within 30 minutes prior to the start of the class, or if bad weather happens after class commences, we will implement dryland training for the day.  No make-up class will be provided in such a situation. 

    1.7 Preservation/Forwarding of Credits 

  • In the event if your child is on MC for more than 2 consecutive weeks, please submit a valid medical certificate for our verification.  Upon verification, we will allow the swimmer to bring forward the credits to the next term.  

  • However, should your child be unwell for a period of less than 2 consecutive weeks, your child should attend the make-up lessons scheduled (see paragraph 1.4 above).  No credit note, forwarding of credit will be given in such situations. 

  • Should you be going on vacation for more than 2 weeks, please submit the relevant air-ticket for verification to info@apexswimming.sg 2 weeks before the commencement of your vacation.  Upon verification, we will allow the swimmer to bring forward the credits to the next term.

  • Failure to inform Apex on either of the above two scenarios will result in loss of credits and no make-up lessons will be arranged. Strictly no refund of fees is allowed.

    1.8 Conduct & Requirements 

  • All students and parents are to strictly adhere to punctuality. No make-up or extension of classes will be allowed for any students who are late for any class(es).

  • Parents are strongly encouraged not to stand near the pool deck during the class. The classes are designed to build confidence and develop independence in the swimmers. 

    1.9 Withdrawal & Refund 

  • All fees made to Apex are non-refundable and non-transferable for any reason whatsoever. 

  • Notice period of at least 4 classes are required to be provided to Apex.  Should notice of less than 4 classes is received by Apex, Apex reserves the right to levy further payment in lieu of notice on the swimmer.

  • Should any swimmer withdraws from the programme and would like to re-join the class more than 6 months after termination date, the registration fee of S$ 50.00 is payable again.

    1.10 General 

  • Apex may, at its own discretion, adjust or replace coaches. 

  • Changing of class times are strictly discouraged. Parents can request to change class times subject to approval of the Apex Management.

  • Apex reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions without prior notice. 

  • It is hereby agreed that Apex shall have the right to copy, extract, translate or publish any of the swimmers’/parents' testimonials/comments regarding Apex’s programs and its training, including the use of their photographs. No private information of the parents and swimmers will be divulged to any other third party.

    1.11 Release of Liability 

  • I, on behalf of myself (if I am above 21), and/or my child (for swimmers below 21), hereby release Apex Swimming Pte. Ltd., its owners, operators, partners and/or its affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant/s and/or the undersigned, while in or upon the premises or any premises under the control and supervision of Apex, its owners, operators, partners and/or its affiliates or in route to or from any of said premises. 

    1.12 Medical Emergencies 

  • Apex reserves the right to perform simple first aid treatment for the students in the event we are unable to reach a parent/guardian. 

    1.13 Medical Declaration

  • All medical information/conditions must be declared by the parent/guardian prior to the commencement of the class. 

    1.14 Assumption of Risk 

  • I understand, agree, and acknowledge that there are risks inherent in sports activities conducted by Apex, including but not limited to paralyzing injuries, brain injuries, and death. These activities may be hazardous in nature and/or may include activities such as swimming, diving, a variety of strenuous exercises and physical activities. With the full understanding of the facts, I state that to the best of my knowledge, my son/daughter listed has no medical, physical, or emotional health conditions, which would hinder or prevent his/her participation in Apex programmes.
