Yip Pin Xiu was never just contented with being a swimmer. She pursued her goals just like any other driven individual but never let her disability stop her from achieving sport’s highest accolade of World Champion. Not once, but twice, giving her the title of reigning Paralympic and World Record holder in the 50 m backstroke S2 and the 100 m backstroke S2.

Not to stop at that feat but she also went on to be a Nominated Member of Parliament. Above all her achievements, Pin Xiu has a heart to empower individuals with special needs and serves as an inspiration to us all.
